Yes, it’s possible to search for communities from various instances as your asking. Just tap the search icon 🔍 at the bottom. Type what you’re interested, Technology for example, and then underneath the search field tap Communities with technology.
This will display a list of communities with technology in the name from various instances.
Yet they’re buying up land globally like it’s going out of style. In Asia, Africa, even US farmland. Thankfully a bill was recently passed to block purchases in the US now.
They’re buying islands around the globe, close to US installations for strategic military purposes for their announced ~2027 invasion of Taiwan which will include the US and Australia getting involved.
I went off topic for Technology but I feel it applies to talk of their economy.

Different backgrounds will draw different conclusions. Being in the medical field and not ham radio (had to look up what you’ve mentioned) it would never have occurred to me.
