I have a student that wears Bluetooth hearing aids, other students phones connect to them all the time. Students down the hall will start playing music, and it will take over her hearing aids. Turning all of our Bluetooth to off fixed the problem. None of the devices that connected to her hearing aids was ever paired, they just connected.

If you use the same mechanic on a fairly regular basis, they will generally do this type inspection for free. They don't want to deal with a lemon any more than you do.
