Yeah this whole subsidize, too big to fail horseshit was status quo fifteen years ago but Stellantis isn’t even an American company. Let the Jeep factory shutter, stop giving into their demands for government fuel. Dry them up, let them go down. If they can’t survive without the subsidies, better more effective companies will.

144Hz is not a holdover in the case of computer monitors. It’s the maximum bandwidth you can push through DVI-D Dual-link at 1080p, which was the only standard that could support that refresh rate when they began producing LCD monitors built to run 144Hz.

It’s definitely not unlikely they knew these class-action suits were in the works long before they were formally filed. A lot of times these are not a surprise to a company with a massive legal team.
