Learning that companies are doing this so you can’t install competitor’s games

Wait, wat? I hadn't heard this explanation. I cynically thought it before, but I've never seen it suggested by anyone other than me.

Since this post is about Saskatchewan, I'll add that Saskatchewan doesn't have a student wage, just one minimum wage.

It also happens to be about $1.20 less than Ontario's student wage. I like my province, but man does it have its issues.

Yup, all true, but even then Saskatchewan largely voted PC federally. Very strange political mix.

That's correct. Legal tender can be used to settle all debts. In a retail transaction there's no debt until a purchase agreement is made, so they can refuse cash before the agrrement.

Going up to $14.00 on 1 October in Saskatchewan. Like the USA we have different labour laws in each province. We also get 3 weeks vacation to start, unlike the 2 weeks BC and Ontario get.
