“They had a meeting this morning,” Trump told reporters, declining to say to whom he was referring. “It doesn’t matter who ‘they’ is. We may reveal it later, but they had meetings this morning, and we’ve been meeting with China.”

China on Thursday said it had not held trade talks with Washington despite repeated comments from the US government suggesting there had been engagement.

“China and the United States have not conducted consultations or negotiations on tariffs, let alone reached an agreement,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told reporters at a news briefing, calling reports of such information “fake news”.

Phoenix TV: We’ve been hearing the U.S. say that China and the U.S. are having talks and even about to reach a deal. Can you confirm whether the two sides are in talks?

Guo Jiakun: None of that is true. For all I know, China and the U.S. are not having any consultation or negotiation on tariffs, still less reaching a deal.

This tariff war is launched by the U.S. China’s position is consistent and clear: We will fight, if fight we must. Our doors are open, if the U.S. wants to talk. Dialogue and negotiation must be based on equality, respect and mutual benefit.

NHK: I also have a question about tariffs. The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration may reduce tariffs on Chinese imports in some cases by more than half. Additionally, President Trump said it depends on China how soon the tariffs can come down. What is your reaction to this news and statement?

Guo Jiakun: I just made clear China’s position. Let me stress again that this tariff war is launched by the U.S., and China’s attitude is consistent and clear. If a negotiated solution is truly what the U.S. wants, it should stop exerting extreme pressure, stop threatening and blackmailing China, and seek dialogue based on equality, respect and mutual benefit.

AFP: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Wednesday that Beijing’s export reliant economic model is unsustainable and harms both China and the rest of the world. What is the Foreign Ministry’s comment on this?

Guo Jiakun: The truth, which is clear to all, is that the U.S. tariffs are seriously undermining the WTO rules and harming the common interests of all countries.

Immigrant advocates and lawyers say an increasing number of migrant children are making immigration court appearances without the assistance of attorneys, which they say will lead to more children getting deported.

The Trump administration on March 21 terminated part of a $200 million contract that funds attorneys and other legal services for unaccompanied children, who arrived in the United States without parents or legal guardians.

The now-terminated contract paid for attorneys to represent 26,000 children across the country and “friend of the court” programs for children, which provide attorneys in court to help pro se respondents navigate the court process.

Kraft said that before the contract was terminated, she saw 30% to 40% of children in a given docket without lawyers. Now, she said, the number has increased to 50% to 60%.

Last fiscal year, 98,356 unaccompanied children entered the country

He adjusted his language to be kid-friendly, explaining in detail what a “right” is and what “asylum” is, with a gentle lilt. Immigration judges are required to take extra time to explain the proceedings in a "child-friendly" way, per Department of Justice directives.

Ul-Haq asked each of the older children if they wanted more time to find attorneys. They all responded yes. For the younger children, ul-Haq automatically gave them extra time.

“You and your sister were very good girls today,” he told the 8-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister in the tie-dye shirt.

He asked the 7-year-old boy who had been spinning a windmill, “What’s that on your shirt?” A pizza, the boy said.

Then, ul-Haq asked if any of the children had a first language other than Spanish.

The 4-year-old girl in the tie-dye shirt raised her hand, dangling her pink plushy above her head. It wasn’t clear – was she responding to the question, or just playing with her toy?

A woman off-screen said, “I’m her case manager,” referring to herself as a social worker in charge of the child. “She speaks Spanish.”

The New York Times reported that one of Bukele’s aides planted the tropical-looking drinks on the table to make it look like Abrego Garcia was living large. Van Hollen confirmed this on Friday. “This is a lesson into the lengths that President Bukele will go to deceive people about what’s going on,” he said, “and it also shows the lengths that the Trump administration and the president will go to, because when he was asked … about this, he just went along for the ride.”

Van Hollen added that Bukele’s government wanted the meeting to take place by a pool: “They actually wanted to have the meeting [take place] by the side of the pool in the hotel,” he said. “This is a guy who’s been in CECOT. This is a guy who has been detained. They want to create this appearance that life was just lovely for Kilmar, which, of course, is a big fat lie.”

4chan the website is unavailable. 4chan the ideology is very much alive. The culture of 4chan has invade every aspect of society. Everywhere you look, wojaks, pepes, the chad/stacy paradigm, the concept of "normies", redpill, etc. The White House posts 4chan memes. The "chad" emoji that everyone uses has blonde hair and blue eyes because a 4channer drew that image to say that the aryan race is superior. The disappearance of the website is like the withering of the state. The ideology does not need to hide within the website anymore because it is all around us. It already served its purpose. To quote Trump, "Everything's computer." And everything is 4chan.

I think people are really underestimating the significance of this case. Mahmoud Khalil was not on a student visa. He is a permanent US resident, married to US-born citizen. Marco Rubio himself said that they are deporting his because Mahmoud Khalil's beliefs do not align with US foreign policy. This seems like the start of a new Red Scare, probably even worse. There is no free speech in America.

DPRK promises to retaliate against ROK for having a drone violate DPRK airspace. DRPK usually ends a press statement like "if ROK/US continues, we will retaliate" or like "we're warning you, please don't do this again". This press statement is different in that the conclusion is a direct promise. The tone is changed. "The provocateurs will have to pay a dear price."

Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, issued the following press statement on Tuesday:

We secured clear evidence that the ROK military gangsters are the main culprit of the hostile provocation of violating the sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea by intruding into the sky over its capital city.

The provocateurs will have to pay a dear price. -0-

I read the comments. The OP says she asked her mother about the bean jar after making the thread. The mother said that whenever her and the father had sex they would place 1 bean into a mason jar to count the number of times they had sex.

Kamala was live on CNN about 30 minutes ago with Anderson Cooper. She was trying to save face and Anderson Cooper interrupted her. Anderson told Kamala that Biden's performance at the debate was a disaster and a train wreck.

I'm honestly surprised to see that CNN is negatively covering Biden.

I think DPRK sending trash balloons to South Korea in response to South Korea's propaganda leaflets is an incredible power move.

I was looking at his reddit account yesterday and the posts of the reddit account match the information of the article. Maybe the intent of the article is to smear him. I don't think that him being an anarchist or previously a radical christian devalues his action.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/02/26/israeli-embassy-airman-fire-death-gaza/
https://archive.ph/flTlp

His username on twitch was lillyanarkitty when he streamed himself self-immolating. It was found that he had previously changed the name from "acebush1" using twitch moderator tools. I tried to use the tool and it said I had to buy a subscription. I'm posting the link anyway. If you have a subscription, you can see it. https://twitch-tools.lolarchiver.com/username_changelog?name=lillyanarkitty

The username acebush1 matches his real name. Aaron BUSHnell. AceBUSH1

On instagram, the account for acebush1 has 0 photos, 28 friends, and says "Aaron Bushnell" on the profile page. https://www.instagram.com/acebush1/

On soundcloud, an account called acebush1 uploaded a single audio track 10 years ago. It says like: Hi I'm aaron bushnell welcome to my podcast. https://soundcloud.com/acebush1

Based on all of that information. I believe that this was his reddit account. https://old.reddit.com/user/acebush1/

acebush1 posted in many anarchist subreddits, posted in airforce subreddits, etc.
2-3 years ago he posted about being a radical christian, which aligns with the headline of the article.
He posted about hating Marxist-Leninists a few times.
He has many posts in the airforce subreddit telling people that airforce members should be able to use their airforce healthcare for gender affirming care, ie gender transitioning. Some people on hexbear and twitter were suggesting that he might be interested in transitioning based on the username lillyanarkitty. I don't know.
He has many posts on different fantasy series subreddits, such as LoTR. I'm mentioning this because the WAPO article also says that he loved LOTR.
He also had posts saying that he had read anarchist literature, so he probably didn't become an anarchist from reading memes.

Is the washington post article trying to smear him? maybe. probably yes.

Was Aaron Bushnel an anarchist? based on his twitch username that he streamed himself being named "lillyanarkitty" and his alleged reddit account. I would say he was an anarchist.

Does this devalue his message at all? No. He is correct about Gaza.

edit / It looks like reddit has deleted all his posts or shadowbanned him or something. You can still see the posts on the profile but if you click "permalink" on any of his comments, it says deleted.
