Restore from backup. No point in trying to figure out what changed, how and where.

One always minimises attack surfaces and the possibility of fat fingered mistakes. The lower privileges that you grant yourself the better.

You'd think that Dave Cutler who, I believe, designed Windows NT coming from a Unix style background would have followed these principles but no. I discovered *nix late sadly.

Lemmy is catching up on Reddit. The technical forums/c/r are not as useful yet, and not enough of the hardware suppliers monitor the/their Lemmy communities.

Once that changes over I don't need Reddit.

You forgot micromanaging.

Isn't that ironic.

Bigger. Same price.

There are thousands of Gen Z that are going to think that that is photoshopped. It's not. Promise. That used to happen. Also Cadbury chocolate didn't always taste like puke.

All we need now is a CodeTitanic, to make the story complete.

You're either

  • far too tall for that car,
  • the car is a heavily modified Peel P50,
  • or you're one of those (short-sighted?) grannies that sits within licking range of the windscreen (marshmallow, with hints of orange, for the curious).

This is great! Google seems to be slowly murdering Waze which I loved. Hoping that this will replace it!

Thank-you all.

The weird thing is that people still believe in the trickle-down effect.

Musk is due to become the world's first recognised trillionaire. Putin was probably the first.

Very rich people are not philanthropic in any way that is noticeable.

A faux front end that makes the fediverse appear centralised.

Give them all the same ridiculous non-negotiable cash selling price.

That CEO has definitely shorted Reddit somehow.
