It's one thing to believe that you made a decision on your own "Free Will", but how could you possibly rewind the entire universe (or at least some sufficiently small portion of it), including your brain's exact atomic state, and re-run the experiment to know for sure? At that point, what would "Free Will" even mean?

They may not care, but reading people and meeting expectations of your colleagues is pretty much a bare minimum level of functioning for most professional positions.
I'm a massive introvert and would love to not have to rely on those social aspects of work, but they undeniably make me more effective at my job and make life easier in the long run. It's no different than physical exercise or any of the million other things in life that might be a bit unpleasant but are ultimately good for you.

For me it's watching steve1989 MRE reviews on YouTube. Dude has the chillest voice and demeanor, and the content is just engaging enough to keep my mind from spiraling off onto random shit, but not exciting enough to keep me awake. The only problem is waking up to my phone on the floor or buried God knows where in my sheets.
And just in case Steve browses Lemmy, I also like watching his videos while awake too! 😄
