This, but needs a splash of hot sauce (preferably cholula) to really set it off!

So, the same as any other physical object you might purchase?

They don't have to be happy about the situation, they just have to ask themselves honestly if more prison stabbings is a good thing or a bad thing, and maybe explain why they trust inmates to make the judgement of who does and does not get stabbed.

The whole argument literally has no more depth than "Fuck that guy". I feel like these people would be justifying drunk drivers if Chauvin had been run down by one.

The part I can't figure out is why?

Bookmarks/favorites are designed specifically for managing large collections of more or less frequently accessed sites. They have descriptions, tags, folder structures, etc all built in and requiring a few kb of disk space each instead of 100MB of RAM. I'm wracking my brain for a reason why deliberately keeping hundreds or thousands of tabs loaded could possibly be more effective at managing a collection of resources. I got nothing though...

You touched on something that makes sense, but for me personally it takes more than just having different public vs private personas for a person to seem fake.

Many people naturally have a different demeanor or way of interacting in public than private, which doesn't necessarily make them seem fake. What feels fake is when you can pick up on a deliberate or curated public persona, especially if it's being done deceptively or for some material gain.

Might want to check a map homie, cause I'm pretty sure Iowa is NOT in the captial-W West 😂

Maybe you meant the Missouri river?

First off, you're a liar. Not a single person on earth has never had their transaction rejected.

I think this situation is a lot less common than you think.

More to the point, use a debit card if that is your gripe. Then you can just deal with an empty account rather than a declined card.

Just like you've never had crypto stolen, I've never had a debit card stolen, so by our combined anecdotes both are equally secure.

She says she takes full responsibility for what happens at the beginning.

Exactly. She abdicated the audience of any responsibility, which basically meant that the things that people did to her are what they would in principle do to any other person if they believed there would be no consequences for their actions.

Nobody in their right mind would have assumed she wanted to have a gun pointed at her head or be sexually assaulted, or even had consented to them. But because she willingly put herself in a position where that might happen (i.e., no consent, but no active resistance), certain people took that to mean it was okay to do those things.

There is only the tiniest sliver of a difference between this and any other situation where you strongly believe that you won't face consequences for your actions. How is what people did to her any different than doing the same shit to someone who was passed out drunk or even fully conscious but not in a position to defend themselves or report you?

If you think there are no stupid people here, I've got some bad news for you...

(You might be one of the stupid ones)

I feel this. It felt like anything I ever had to comment had been said a dozen times by the time I stumbled into a thread, so I rarely felt any need or desire to post on Reddit. Here, I almost feel obligated to, just to keep the threads going. Part of me is excited to see the activity keep picking up here, but part of me is enjoying actually feeling like my boring-ass comments are worth posting, and also knowing said lame comments aren't going to get heaped with random snark. Feels like the medium size forums I used to frequent back in the 00s and early 10s.
