That simply isn't what it means in Australia. I can't be bothered arguing with you over something as stupid as usage of a word in a country I live in and you dont, so I won't be replying further.

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 1 points 5 hours ago

It won't be updated that frequently, and I don't see why you would download it every update instead of occasionally when you are considering switching plans / getting a new plan

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 1 points 17 hours ago

Will work fine on Codeberg, but I can hardly use formulas in that. Those aren't really suitable for somewhat large amounts of data, which is what I have.

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 1 points 17 hours ago

At least in Australia, they are very common gender neutral insults. Never heard anyone use it as a slur over here, but I've no clue how people in your country use them

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

You should leave lemmy.ml, they have a profanity filter which doesn't consider the language.

(before anyone comments, yes I know they call it a slur filter, but it also blocks some mild profanity so it isn't just for slurs)

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

It blocks bitch and cunt, neither of which are slurs.

Nothing is censored over here as lodion isn't a shithead

I put it in a spreadsheet as it is a good way to display the information. If you know of a format which is like a spreadsheet and is web readable, please tell me. (And not "some software can display it on a website", that can be done with most formats, including opendocument spreadsheets which I used here.)

The direct link is here: https://codeberg.org/libre-net-au/isps/raw/branch/main/mobile-plans.ods

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 1 points 1 day ago

link is in the link field, not sure if that shows up on masto. The link in the desc is to the project this was inspired by. I also made a masto post here: https://en.osm.town/@eatham/113514886525749408

Repost, but the post is good enough so I don't care

[-] eatham@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago

They can also open open document files in word just fine

Made a spreadsheet of mobile plan data so people could compare providers and plans easily. I plan to update it either yearly or every 6 months. This was inspired by this spreadsheet on all the NBN plan pricing information: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_wnaTFb_3QsdgZfKDrEO6D_Rpzt2clbB/edit?gid=1523306688#gid=1523306688

BSD is based on Unix, and Linux isn't, so it is way more Unix than Linux is.

The flag is basically complete, aside from art and the rainbow checkerboard. Thank you to everyone who helped!

Special thanks to @veroxii@lemmy.world, @emperor@feddit.uk , and @ianbkulin@c.im who did a very large amount of the flag.

Here are most of the other people that helped. Sorry if i missed anyone, i can't check every pixel.

Hello! Please don't damage other stuff on the aussie flag unless they are destructive, and if they are try to reach agreement.

The germans have agreed to take the top left until the stem of the union jack and NOT more, don't damage it

There is some pixel art, go behind it.

Arsenal will make their logo bottom right, it will not cover any stars.

there will likely be more, please allow it. we can't cover everything with a flag, it blocks others from using the canvas

This time the flag will be much smaller than last time so it actually gets completed, only 200 pixels wide instead of 300. The canvas this year is also 1/4 the size of last years, 500 x 500 instead of 1000 x 1000.

The template link that will show what needs to be drawn over the canvas is here. Make sure to lower template opacity by over 50% so you can see what is currently drawn.

I don't see anyone falling for this either, if they were going to they would already have edge installed.

I saw this site that tells you if instances have blocked threads.net yet and noticed some instances listed as fedipact with a heart instead of blocked/federated/ limited (also what does limited mean)

I want to make a plex nas so I don't have to deal with Netflix and streaming services, here are some questions I have.

  1. What NAS should I get? I've heard Qnap is good, but I want to know around what nas I should get

  2. Is plex somewhat simple to setup and is there other software I should look at?

  3. Is there anything else I should know?

Edit: I ended up using an old laptop and running a file share from it then installing kodi on the other devices and using it as a storage point.

500x500 size, cos last canvas was too big

Last for longer, maybe 2weeks or more

Early 2024, maybe February -march or April

Announced early- like a week in advance for groups to form
