They were both pretty popular 10+ years ago, so you may have been old for a while. Or you just don’t watch Marvel stuff and/or other more recent fantasy TV lol

Deborah Ann Woll played in True Blood, then was cast into the Marvel universe through Daredevil, then Punisher. Bernthal played Punisher in the series of the same name, and in The Walking Dead before that.

I totally agree with you that I don’t need to make friends at work. I 100% clock out at the end of the day and make a hard cutoff between personal and work life. I can even work with people I personally dislike just fine, as long as they’re not making things harder for others.

But OP was talking about camaraderie, which is mostly just about being generally pleasant to be around - as Merriam-Webster defines it, “a spirit of friendly good-fellowship”. Nobody likes to deal with the moody guy who doesn’t want to talk to anyone either, including the other moody guys. There’s definitely a minimum level of camaraderie required not to make things harder for everyone involved. You don’t have to lean into the “we’re a family” BS not to be unpleasant.

I’ve stopped going to large stadium shows for the most part a good while ago. It’s just getting ridiculous. Most of the best shows I’ve ever been at have all been in smaller venues anyway…

Yeah, this. I have a history of depression, and the first two are, no kidding, legitimately how I know I’m spiralling down.

It’d be very difficult to quantify, so all I can say is my personal opinion... I have seen many marvellously beautiful trans women and have 0 issue saying I find one beautiful. Hell, I’m pretty much not attracted to men and there are many I can definitely say are beautiful people. I wouldn’t mind dating a trans woman at all, if it clicked and I found her attractive (my wife might disagree though lol). But I don’t know how most even could look more feminine. In the end, they still are women that were born in a man’s body, and most men’s bodies are, well… relatively masculine. Gender-affirming surgery can help for sure, but many don’t want to (and don’t have to!) go through all that.

Every time I see these comments, I wonder if I was just lucky with my scrum masters and most actually suck, or if it’s confirmation bias. We don’t have a scrum master where I work, but my whole job as lead is keeping things rolling, and this would be just unacceptable.

I haven’t really looked at his content in a good while. He seems to have gotten more confident in front of the camera. Some of his earlier stuff felt quite awkward at times, IMHO.

Incorporation and ownership/funding are very different things. How are they all “owned and funded by governments”?

Retail truly is hell. A previous employer chopped off our time after closing, regardless of how much time it took to close the place. In the two years and some I spent there, including 9 months full time, they must have saved hundreds of hours in unpaid wages just in the 3 stores I worked at. That was a major chain, mind you. It’s a good example of wage theft for OP, actually lol

Rest assured that when I was closing at 9PM by myself, by 9:01 I had signed off on the day’s deposit, and by 9:02 I was out of there…

  • Alma/Rocky - I wouldn’t particularly push fresh converts to RHEL/CentOS based distros, but maybe that’s just me…
  • Debian - sure… given they can figure out the slightly less intuitive installer and non-free stuff
  • Ubuntu - Canonical has been making some weird decisions lately. With them dropping Unity, then Mir… I wouldn’t bet on snaps while the rest of the world settled on flatpak
