IIRC, Samsung recently announced they're moving to A/B partitioning as well.

I disagree, it's a statement of fact. There's nothing inherently wrong with that fact that you're lazy about fiddling with computers. I'm lazy about certain things in my own life.

But it's pointless trying to convert lazy people to Linux when it requires an effort level above 0 and they don't want to put in anymore than that.

I'm not contradicting myself. All of my points can coexist.

  1. If you don't want to tip, fine, stop tipping.
  2. If you go out to eat, tip your staff.
  3. If you want the tipping culture to change, stop going out.

You're correct, a tip is not guaranteed income, that's the entire problem. I don't understand why what I'm saying is so hard to understand. The company will only make up for lost tips for a waiter for so long before they're fired. Continuing to go out to eat and then not tipping changes nothing, it just makes the waitstaff's lives harder.

Interesting, I never considered that having a specific cognitive disorder would mean your brain compensates in other ways, but it makes sense. I have both dyscalculia (which is specifically only number reversal) and dysgraphia, and my reading (words, not numbers), writing (when typing), and verbal skills are definitely above average.

Agreed. I appreciate the bot a lot, don't get me wrong, but it can add clutter, for sure. I kind of wish there was a Lemmy-wide setting to auto-collapse bot comments, now.

AMD revamped and open sourced their driver sometimes around the Vega era, I think? It's been super solid since then.

That looks incredible!

Right, but if someone posts to this community from lemmy.world, for example, I get a link that says "lemmy.world/post/xxxx" instead of the equivalent for my instance, even though it exists. I'd like all links to be routed through my instance when I'm on the "subscribed@lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz" page, because they all have to have an equivalent URL from my instance since I'm subscribed.

Telegram almost exclusively, SMS for stubborn family, and Discord for stubborn communities that won't use something better.

The docker docs are out of date. You need to expose the lemmy service to an external network. I created a third network called lemmybridge and added it to the lemmy service.
