Pretty pathetic, especially considering the users who insulted me got no repercussions.

Just another reason not to take mods seriously.

Edit: Apparently mental illness is a common trait among hexbear users. I hope they receive the help they need. This isn't healthy for them.

I'm gonna be real with you: none of the instruments are easy in the way that you describe.

The easiest instrument for you to be able to play would honestly be the piano. it is the easiest instrument to play by design, and people don't even realize it. It really only gets hard when you try playing separate parts with both hands, which isn't a requirement.

You're literally hitting buttons, which we do elsewhere in life all the time. Heck, I'm doing it right now!

If alcohol and gambling only affected the lives of those partaking in them, then we wouldn't have a problem.

Fun fact: The Native Americans had no concept of land ownership. It's how "Squatter's Rights" was used to justify European occupation of native lands.

To the natives, land was meant to be used, not owned. For Europeans, they would look at a section of land and say "Who owns this? Nobody? Well, I guess it's mine now."

Being raised in a world dominated by European ideals, it's easy to disregard how those ideals may have been challenged and if we really received the best outcome.

Kind of pathetic how we still have to solve the issue of cutting up baby dicks as ritual.

Egypt's worse; they still cut off the clits of preteen girls as ritual.

Jews and Egyptians aren't even trying to hide it. They do it specifically to reduce the sensitivity of sexual organs.

Christians are the useful idiots (as always) who have been duped into thinking it's for 'medical' or 'aesthetic' purposes. In all honesty, Christians cut up the dicks of their kids because the dad's dick was cut up for him and he doesn't want to admit there's something wrong with it.

Different drugs, which is why considerably more people smoked marijuana while it was illegal than did cocaine.

And also, at what cost? Look at how many lives are ruined because of the war on drugs. Look at how many resources are wasted enforcing it.

Tobacco usage is already a fraction of what it was decades ago.

And everything he's saying about tobacco can be applied to, you guessed it, alcohol! So we should make booze illegal again? Because that worked out so well the first time?

(to play devil's advocate, I also think that alcohol has a much greater case for being outlawed than tobacco for the collective harm it does to society)

Dictators aren't immediately bad and democracies aren't immediately good.

Since most people are dumb as shit and are being herded like sheep, it requires individuals who can resist the influence of the crowd to fix problems the crowd has been conditioned to allow.

In the case of El Salvador, since whatever they were doing before wasn't working, they now need to deal with an alternative that works better.

They only have themselves and the people sucking off their gang members to blame.

As an aside, stick with the defaults unless you have a specific reason to switch.

Don't overcomplicate things, or at least try to realize when you're doing it.

I think at some point its best to identify kids who stand out and nurture them so they can maximize their potential.

Like it or not, most people are just too stupid to appreciate the value of free software.

Telling kids that they're all equal does more harm than good in the long term, because it's not true.

No, it's consumerism.

I've been doing a lot of research into Judaism. They seem to encourage asking tough questions and taking the answers seriously, which is good.

After reading a bit of the Torah, it got me thinking, why aren't there any references to people who could not have been known to its followers at the time? No mention of East Asians or Native Americans. Did God just forget about them when he talked through Moses? Or he thought they weren't important enough to mention?

Then it got me thinking some more. What about science? Wouldn't it be effective to convince followers of legitimacy if a religion could accurately predict a scientific phenomenon before its followers have the means of discovering it? Say, "And God said, let there be bacteria! And then there was bacteria." But there is nothing like that. Anywhere, as far as I can tell. Among any religion.

I'm not a theologian and I'm always interested in learning more, so any insights would be helpful.

Edit: A lot of responses seem to be saying "people wouldn't have had a use for that knowledge at the time" seem to be parroting religious talking points without fully understanding their implications. Why would God only tell people what they would have a use for at the time? Why wouldn't he give them information that could expand the possibilities of what they were capable of? Why does it matter if people had a word for something at the time? Couldn't God just tell them new words for new things? If God was only telling them things that were relevant to them at the time, why didn't He say so? Also, how come he doesn't come back and tell us things that are relevant now, or at least mention that he isn't coming back?

It looks like the last verified contact with them has been in 2018. Recently a youtuber went there and tried to get their attention, but couldn't find them.

Is it possible they're not even still around? Maybe a disease found its way onto their island and took them out. It could have even been from the last visitor in 2018.

Since anyone can put anything they want on their servers, it seems like a lot of evidence could be thrown out in court cases if access to that information is not strictly monitored and audited to make sure the owners aren't removing or adding data.

Does anyone know of industry-standard practices to ensure that data on servers is not being manipulated in a way to protect or harm users?
