I didn’t want to speak too authoritatively as I’m not a trans woman and I haven’t done enough reading on this subject, but I’m super thankful for this input!

your comment is reinforcing fatphobia and i am pointing that out. do you consider thin people who quit a diet and go back to eating junk food all day to be “relapsing to their old lifestyle”.

really the fundamental question here is: do you think fat people should need to lose weight in order to be treated with the same respect as thin people?

OP’s doctor said that ALL thin people exercise more and eat better than OP, which is patently untrue. This is an issue of medical fatphobia.

The men on this site were never okay, tbh. We’ve been complaining about the misogyny problem on the trans mega for months, and I’m sure it was a problem before I came here too.

You said it "probably" doesn't taste anything like paneer.

(Totally did not mean to delete my last comment, it was a complete accident, so I'll just rewrite it as best as I remember it.)

Oh no I totally understand, that is what I meant by "enforcing patriarchal bioessentialism + cissexism" if it wasn't clear! Gender essentialism is really harmful and antithetical to feminism, as it relies on upholding misogynistic views rather than challenging them (like when TERFs argue that trans women shouldn't compete with cis women using misogynistic ideas of women as "weaker".)

I am totally not an advocate for political lesbianism or radical feminism, and please let me know what parts of my phrasing made you uncomfortable, I'll edit them and do some self-crit. And I definitely need to pick up Whipping Girl soon.

I don't have much knowledge of trans-inclusive feminist movements in Korea, unfortunately (and I can't read Korean where most of this discussion happens). I read a post from a Korean transfeminist responding to the 4b movement who basically said that she and other trans women in SK have dealt with violent transmisogyny in women's liberation spaces. Of course there are transfeminists and queer organizations in SK, but this is the extent of what I know.

In the year I went to school in China (5th grade), we learned a story about Mao Zedong helping peasants and also memorized the Long March poem. Unfortunately, at the time I was an America-poisoned 10 year old and didn’t appreciate it ooooooooooooooh

In China, students are fed food with as little nutrition as possible. Most school food is almost inedible in terms of taste and texture. School cafeterias frequently fail to meet food safety standards. Students with dietary restrictions are never considered. And this is if the students even have enough money to pay for it at all.
