Some interesting tidbits from Arab social media since the fall of the Syrian state:

  • The euphoria is pretty much over, the discussion is slowly shifting to "what's next?".

  • Revanchism towards Shias or whatever on social media is also shifting towards a more reconciliatory tone. HTS behaving well towards the Shia shrines has been the main catalyst for that shift imo.

  • Lots of criticism towards how freeing the prisoners turned into some type of social media clout treasure hunt, many felt that it was dehumanising and distasteful.

  • Girls are thirsting for Jolani

  • Lots of Egyptians and Bahrainis are basically saying "God I wish that was us", they're dreaming about changing their shitty regimes and opening the prisons

Lastly, I spoke with my aunt who lives in Aleppo and my cousin who has a farm outside of Damascus. They're both kinda content with the current situation. They mostly feel happy that the pressure of living under Assad is gone and that they can freely insult him now. Services and stuff like that haven't been interrupted and shops are functioning normally. Currency confusion remains mostly in Aleppo though, where people alternate between Syrian Liras, Turkish Liras and USD.

I'm still in a state of shock, it feels weird that the Assads are gone when they've been such a constant in every Syrian's life for decades. I teared up today imagining that God might bless us one day with sights of Arab fighters storming Israeli prisons and freeing prisoners like we saw in Syria today.

Nah let us have at least one good space without all the drama. At this point, this website for me is just the body that carries this thread. I'm sorry but the rest of this website is just unserious and a place for the most online people in the world to bicker. One can seriously discuss Chinese monetary policy and Moldovan elections here with a serious-ish tone and a leftist spin, which doesn't happen anywhere else on the internet. We can't endanger that in any possible way. I personally have no intention at all to interact with the rest of the site, where people have full on breakdowns every single day because of a stupid debate about having a rabbit as a pet or something. I clicked on that site-wide changes thread and understood literally nothing, let's keep it that way and never change it.

I've been reading about Morocco recently, mostly inspired by Rania's anti-Morocco posting here. I have a massive blindspot when it comes to the history of the Maghreb countries, I literally know nothing about these countries outside of the Sahara issue and the Algerian Liberation War. Very interesting history, but it's hard to come out with any conclusion other than wanting to Minecraft the entire royal family. The amount of collusion and treachery is ridiculous, disgusting state on all possible levels. I'll give them points for building nice infrastructure and making Morocco a generally nice place to live in, but all that progress doesn't happen without complete submission and humiliation to Western capital. We need a Morocco COTW theme in the near future so that I can shit on Morocco even more.

It's not over for Kamala actually, just wait for the diaspora pro-EU votes to trickle in folks

Just random thoughts incoming:

  • My son is already two months old, time just passes so quickly. This mf is growing fast on that breast milk diet. He's balding though, guess I'll take him to Turkey soon. On a different note, I'm going to need an archive of communist cartoons soon to start the training early.

  • Asian Qualifiers for the Great Satan World Cup in 2026 has started, with a great start for Iraq and surprisingly Palestine who drew with South Korea in Seoul. Iraq should make it in this group, while Palestine could possibly be in a decent position if they beat Jordan tomorrow. Iran won their first match, they'll make it for sure. North Korea sadly lost to Uzbekistan (we should a Central Asian COTW period btw), their chances look below average.

  • Ugledar is about to be encircled, very big news for us Ugledar haters. Very stupid town, but a marvel of Soviet engineering. Ukraine have mainly stopped the bleeding near Pokrovsk, but they're quickly losing ground in the Kurakhove sector and near Kupiansk. Important weeks incoming now before mud season.

  • Damn when will Iran stop edging, we need them to goon soon

  • My wife's sister is getting married in Iraq next month, very annoying timing because we can't travel yet with the lil kid. In her defence, the wedding was supposed to be like 7 months ago, but the groom's uncle suddenly died like a month before the wedding.

  • What is Israel even doing right now? They've been in Gaza for like 11 months now with barely anything tangible achieved, their internal situation is kinda complicated, Iran keeps edging them, the US fired like 50 missiles into Yemen and was like "bro I'm all out of ideas", peace negotiations keep getting wrecked by Satanyahu. What's the long-term goal here, I'm not sure that there's one.

Are we back? Yes we're

Gigachad Chad Neutral Beta (Fe)Male Virgin Cuck
Prigozhin (gotta remember him fondly on the 1 year anniversary of his rebellion) Putin (lil downgrade for uncle Vlad despite the North Korea visit, he's allowing too many security Ls in Russia these days) Zelensky (just hanging around surviving, respect) FPV drone operators (heartless freaks) TCC (accelerating the population collapse by rounding up every 23 year old car mechanic)
Hamas, PIJ, Qassam, PFLP and all resistance groups in Gaza (Allah's bravest soliders) Hezbollah (accelerating the collapse of pissrael by pounding their north) My soon to be born son (I hope he doesn't rebel and become a cuck) Ukraine peace summit attempts (so funny that the try to make a peace agreement while speaking ONLY to the losing side) UAE (such a deranged nation, hate them as much as the US and Israel)
The people of Gaza (bravest people ever) Houthis (defeated the great satan in a naval war and still shooting Israel ships like true chads) Euro 2024 (great football, but seeing European circlejerk about European greatness makes me seeth) Western journalists (thank you for proving that this is the least honorable profession) Sunni islamists (unironically supporting Israel against Hezbollah because of muh Ahlul Sunnah)
Yahya Sinwar (still undefeated) Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (always speaking from a position of strength, showing the "peaceful protest" cucks how it's done) Fidias (random Cypriot youtuber who won an EU parliament seat, this is how much respect the EU parliament deserves) Emmanuel Macron (very happy that he has initiated the collapse of the cuck European centre-right) Netanyahu (eat shit cuck)

I realised last night that I might have disappointed the news mega community by not making any Lebanon effortposting for the COTW event despite being the semi-official Lebanese guy of this thread. I'm not really in the mood for effortposting, but let's do a little Lebanon AMA in the replies here.

Just for context, I'm half-Lebanese and half-Syrian. Wife is Iraqi and I've spent a good amount of time in all three countries. Throw any random question related to Lebanon and I'll do my best to answer. Questions related to Iraq and Syria are okay as well of course. Let's go

When Russian troops crossed the Ukrainian border on the 24th of February 2022, I was pretty unsure on what position to adopt regarding that war. As the annoying politics guy in the lives of the people I love, I had to adopt an official stance. I spent the first week of the war just confused, then I leaned towards the pro-Russian side because of vibes and contrarianism, then solidified my pro-Russian stance after realising the effects of that conflict for American hegemony across the planet.

Now 600+ days later, I've never been so confident about the legitimacy of an ideological decision. The way the Ukraine-Israel-USA axis has coalesced around being the most delusional, evil and cringe axis in history has really solidified my hate for these weirdos. Hating the illegitimate zionist entity has been the only consistent position in my life, and seeing the Ukraine freaks align themselves with the entity has made my hater life easier. I remind you all of what Chinese social media people said, supporting Russia and Palestine makes you a real geopolitics understander.

New cuck n chad ranking. RUS vs UKR still gets the first row as I'm a man that respects traditions. The last row is a new addition, mostly covering non-world leaders who have been chads or cucks this week.

Gigachad Chad Neutral Beta (Fe)Male Virgin Cuck
Lukashenko (Forever chad) Rybar (has upped the production quality and still has the GOAT maps) Putin (still chilling doing nothing) Zelensky (It's so over for the Z-man, even Time Mag are doing hit pieces on him) Western attention span (crazy how quickly people stopped caring about Ukraine)
Hamas, PIJ and the rest of the boys (keep rocking dudes) Hezbollah (being annoying in the north is good, but do something pls) Qatar and Kuwait (American colonies, but still wildly sympathetic to the cause when they could cuck like everyone else) International law libs (ackshually the rules say that genocide is ok) IDF losers (colonizer scum)
The people of Gaza (more brave and faithful than any people in the world ever) Iraqi, Yemeni and Syrian resistance groups (being infinitely more useful than any Arab government) Erdogan (still the most confusing world leader, but had a nice speech last week) Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt (reaching levels of cucking for America that I haven't seen before in life) Europe (the pro-Israel derangement by random Germans and Brits has been insane to see)
Wael Al Dahdouh (bravest journalist in the world, still reporting after Israel killing his entire family) Hasan, Greta and other left-ish internet personalities that took a strong brave position when others cucked Piers Morgan (his quest for views and engagement has accidentally platformed great pro-Palestine voices Faris Al Hammadi (random Emirati sheikh that claimed that boycotting McDonalds and KFC is haram) Vivek Ramaswamy (being a republican nominee in 2023 is already cucked, but begging for genocide and calling Israel a sacred state when you're literally Hindu sends you to cuck hall of fame)

TrueAnon 10 rules for doing a coup:

Never go to a second location

Always get the interior ministry post

Never get in a helicopter/private plane

If someone with a gun enters your car, they’re gonna kill you

If someone tells your they’re not going to kill you, they’re calming you down to kill you later

Never give up your nukes

Never release opposition political prisoners

Never let the opposition delay elections

If someone starts to get into German runes drop them
