Did anyone else not know Lycos was still around? Lycos is still around. Seems not that bad. No AI stuff.

They've got that (relatively) new gamemode that allows you to infinitely duplicate any item as long as you've found X numbers of it. I liked that mode a lot for my most recent play through.

If you go down the bottom path, does anyone ever go back up and untie all those people or are they stuck there forever as bait for the electoral system that reflects a runaway trolley?

Once the Republican party is thoroughly stomped into the ground

Okay, so we agree. You should not vote Democrats if you don't like the Republican party, on account of them thinking a strong Republican party is necessary, them inviting Republicans to join their campaign, and promising a Republican in their cabinet.

I meant 2026, my bad

I'm going to make a prediction here: in ~~2022~~ 2026, the Democrats will have decided that abortion is a states right issue. Much like Harris's current stance on gender affirming care.

There’s always some twist to account for some customer demands or something. And tbh, that’s probably how it should be.

I'm pretty sure this is literally part of the agile manifesto. You should adjust things to what works on your team. I don't have a strong opinion on agile/not-agile because its all working in corporate environment and that sucks regardless, but agile itself is supposed to be... agile. It's just vocal developers are often rules-nerds so you get people talking about "proper agile" for no real reason other than the express their dissatisfaction at how things are going while simultaneously proving how smart and good they are for knowing the rules.

I just try to use agile against the product team as often as I can. "Well, agile says we should adjust to whatever works for the team and this meeting isn't providing any value."

It doesn't work all the time, but I've eliminated a few meetings. I still don't like my job, but it is what it is.

There's a scene in the tv show The Shield where its explained that a method of tricking a polygraph is to simply envision another question in your mind and answer that instead of the one presented.

That's what this feels like from liberals. They've erased the thing out loud (they are currently supporting a genocide) and replaced it with something in their head (they are opposing Trump). Except they keep saying the Trump part out loud as a counter to the genocide part.

I have not doomed anyone. The current administration has doomed hundreds of thousands, potentially millions of Palestinians.

Dooming Palestinians for your own benefit is callous, not principled you stupid fucking dweeb.

Saw this screenshot going around and had to dig around to find the original source, which was hard because it's in Hebrew and I don't know Hebrew. I found it with translation tools:

Not just the terminal, I mean a full remote desktop. What's the best method? Not just from one linux machine to another machine, but also remoting from a windows machine to a linux machine.

I'm a bit of a linux novice, but trying to do more.

If not, I highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun as a pure puzzle game, but the entire story appears to be an excuse to do a bunch of marxism. It's full of dialectical materialism. It's got Lenin quotes. It's talking about how material conditions shape history. It loves talking about power and how it's not inherently bad and it should be wielded for good.

I haven't looked into who wrote it (I should), but I can almost guarantee they're some sort of marxist.

Can you believe the developer who makes Serious Sam developed an incredibly communist video game?

I recently fell down a rabbit hole reading about the game M.U.L.E. and stumbled upon what is probably widely known, but I thought I'd share anyways: the creator was trans. Unfortunately, she died very young due to lung cancer, but she has been honored several times post-humously and seems like an awesome person.

I don't know, didn't have much more to say, but thought I'd share this cool person in video game history.
