They also said "we didn't know", 2000 feet downwind of a human oven factory. "And if we did what could we have done?". Those people are still alive and they're not a small minority of even our country.

It's like having 100,000 yellow pages books. In the days of old you might be able to switch cities if you were trying to evade a stalker. Now you'll have to change your name, face, and accent.

Ah fascinating, thanks for sharing all that. Yes for sure you may be a centrist in Europe but here in the States you would be far left.

They shouldn't, but also PSA to any parents but modern parenting advice typically is to let your kids use social media if they choose, and guide them through the social and emotional difficulties with good communication. Don't blanket ban it because they'll just use it anyways without guidance, and be unprepared the moment they turn 18.

It's a case of: 99.9% of kids are smoking cigarettes so yours will too. Better to show them how to use a weekly cigar without inhaling, than just ban it which won't work.

Really? I've seen Lemmings are much more competent, way higher debate ability, far less disinformation. Also I've seen this 10x so far in a month: "sorry, you're right". Almost never saw that on Reddit. And I've had to say it many times too.

Yep. Might as well be a penny.

It's offensive and condescending given the extreme lack of overall support for parents, I'm glad non-Americans cannot relate. They should change the amount to 1 penny, it would be more appropriate, have nearly the same effect, offend us the same, and save (billionaire) taxpayers more money, which is the real goal.

You said you would take any little help you can, here's a pwetty penny. Go buy yourself a gumball.

A baby bonus of $100 will also lead to improved outcomes. $10 too, just harder to measure. Heck why not $0.01?

It could be, or it could be 6th grade debate and communication skills. But we're allowed to be angry and not act perfectly.

He literally might as well be in his capacity to debate and process emotions, which is his only relevant skills here. But the other way was shorter to write.

Not true and it misses the point. Infant mortality was never over 50% and women aren't having significantly fewer children because of it. It's become impossible to raise even 1 kid for many couples. There is no financial, marital, or familial support anymore. Now that women have a choice via birth control, they aren't putting up with it.
