It amazed people when it first launched and capitalists took that to mean replace all their jobs with AI. Where we wanted AI to make shit jobs easier, they used it to replace whole swaths of talent across the industry's. Recent movies read like they were written almost entirely by AI. Like when Cartman was a robot and kept giving out terrible movie ideas.

Funnier if they meant it as a burn for Elon having a picture where he looks like the "videogame prodigy" from Grandma's Boy.

I mean the GOP National Convention took down Grindr in the area, or something, so yeah. Also, I guess some nobody had sex with a couch.

They aren't the same country, though. Things like that are likely more common in the UK than in the US. It's hard enough to vote here, yet alone if they pull the ol' switcheroo on the candidate in just a month.

Gotta agree with others that mentioned The Outer Wilds. I haven't stopped thinking about that game in some capacity since I played it and the second (part? Game? DLC?) about 6 months ago. I never looked up anything before or during play, but loved reading all about it after finishing them.

It bears repeating...Do not read/watch anything about this game online. The best way to experience it is through discovery and I wish I could wipe the experience from my memory just to experience it again!

Other notable mentions are...

  • Dead Space for it's integrated menus and systems that never take you out of the game.
  • Prey (the Indigenous People one) for the unique story.
  • Amnesia: The Dark Descent for the story, voice acting, and fear.

There are other games to mention, but my kid just came in and broke my train of thought.

And flecks of food-laced spittle. As a fly, they may dig it!

Oh yeah, it's a thing. I am on my phone or I'd find the link to it on the YouTube. One thing that has stuck with me from that movie is the comparison of old apocalyptical/grim future movies of the 80s and 90s and the fundamental way they differ from similar movies of the last 20 years or so.

I don't want to ruin it cause Cody and the team do an excellent job getting to that point, but it's a nice payoff!

And banned from Sea World?

It's a Battlestar Galactica (2003) Cylon Baystar (I think that's what it's called) from the looks of it. It makes no sense, like the rest of this!

Hear hear. I, too, am tired of that phrase, but the recent rounds of unionization and indictments of the powerful few give me hope that the gullible boomer generation, who believed all of their shit because of their selfishness, are either dying or are being replaced. I think it's only going to get larger and more organized the more we're pushed to the extremes.

It might be too late to stop the train from derailing, but their normal placations and lies aren't working on the newer gens. We know America is not the bastion of freedom and liberty our forebearers fawned over and ate up from the capitalists. We have eyes and critical thinking and they've taken everything from us.

The more people that realize how pointless money is, how debt is as fake as George Santos' gold medals, and the rich only hold that title because we believe it, the more they will reap the consequences of their actions.

You are my new favorite person on Lemmy!

It's not about voting for a party in RCV. It effectively solves almost all of the US political dysfunction. With RCV...

  • each political party in the mix will actually have to campaign to win elections (no swing states),
  • gerrymandering will be a thing of the past,
  • the electoral college will finally die,
  • the people will get a candidate that more closely matches their desired candidate, and
  • best of all, we wouldn't have to vote between a douche or a turd sandwich.

Honestly, I get erect just thinking about how much better things could be with this system of voting. It's essentially like a unionization for our political system, which is why it will never happen.

Why would the wolves opt to remove themselves from the hen house?
