我还以为“过剩”代表不足,其实是“多余”、"surplus"。

This is for 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. Away match with Chinese Taipei will be on the 21st, then Oman in March 2024.

https://developer.data.gov.my/realtime-api/gtfs-static

Before I delve in to the URL, title and snapshot I attached, I'd like to follow up on this post about data.gov.my dashboards relating to public transport.

Since that post, RapidKL issued a press release to inform a delay in reopening the Bandaraya–Masjid Jamek section, due to the need to repair adjacent viaducts to the badly damaged one. If all goes to plan, service shall resume on February/March 2024.

Other missing data in their dashboards and data catalogue remain the same as previously posted. For instance, search for daily ridership that involves Putrajaya Line station(s) is broken because "data for certain exits on the Putrajaya Line is not yet available." On the other hand, you can search for ridership data on all KTMB Komuter stations for Central Sector (Tanjung Malim–Port Klang, Batu Caves–Pulau Sebang), but not their total trips data for now.

OK, back to topic. This month, the devs have released GTFS static and realtime data for selected Malaysian public transport services. GTFS stands for General Transit Feed Specification, which at the basic level provides transit schedule information. That is probably the key API that powers Google Maps and Moovit.

GTFS Static is quite straightforward to understand. It contains transit stop locations, routes and optionally paths, stop times (as in screenshot), trips and frequency info, and other optional data. Just follow the instruction through the URL I linked to get the ZIP file that contains text files in CSV format. Of course, they only provide estimate times for trips taken, without accounting for operational delays.

I will look into GTFS Realtime in another post.

It is less than 2 years away to end of term. Maybe holding state election separately from GE is the new normal.

可惜没有中文以外的字幕,不然更多人可以了解大马魁地奇的历史和现况。

Regretfully there aren't subtitles other than in Chinese, otherwise more people can understand the history of Quidditch in Malaysia and their current situation.

这还不算稀奇。已经被PN拒绝加盟,现在又说“再申请试试看”。给斗士党一些时间吧,说不定几年后这个微型组织将销声匿迹。

Rapid KL seems to be more transparent about bus disruptions due to road closures etc. But like the recent (21-23 July) Putrajaya Line issues, they do inform the public and fix them, although they didn't address the "why". Maybe they keep the post-mortem details internally to avoid lowering the public's trust on KV rail services.

Astro Awani's article worded it this way:

Sementara itu, PN turut mengambil langkah berani dengan menampilkan Pengerusi Pertubuhan Kebajikan ACT Malaysia (ACT), Muhammad Fazil Mohd Dali atau lebih dikenali sebagai Ayahanda Cik Ton di DUN Pandan Indah.

No mention of gangster or his past, but called it a "brave move". Here's a short feature on him in 2019 if people are interested.

Summary on BFM 6pm-to-7:30 discussion about youth vote (audio 56 mins). They invited 2 Malaysiakini journalists who worked on the Newslab feature on whether the green wave was powered by the youth (monyet.cc post), and also another guest professor who is a uni lecturer to understand this topic.

  • MKini has data down to polling districts (scroll to "Who did your neighbours vote for?"). They encourage readers to understand how the oldest and youngest vote, since their choices are drowned out when lumped together in the final results. However they acknowledged the data and article they presented can be overwhelming. What they found can be summarised in the next section, which I combined with the guest prof opinions.

  • Youth votes will largely follow GE15 trend. The youth don't favour the older BN, went through Sheraton move (-ve for PH), Covid lockdown (+ve for PN) and gig economy, which factors into their vote preferences. Urban-rural, education, employment, and income levels seem to be secondary factors, compared to recent politics and policies. They prefer a strong figure to lead the country/state to stability and look after their rights (not so much youth rights, but the preferential treatment kind).

  • Part 1 of MKini election simulator was discussed on BFM here (audio 50 mins).

Edit: Added relevant links.

A bit of a rant and off-topic, but I tried 7E-brand canned coffee and it was super sweet.

23.3g sugar in 240ml. Maybe some fruit/vegetable juices can top that.

RM320 million for the penalty/compensation paid March 2021, not even a year later Ismail Sabri suggested to revive the project, few months after being PM.

As usual with cubesats, "everyone" is doing it and PG1 isn't the only cubesat hitching on the ride to space. It's supposed to be a constellation like Starlink, so expect many more launches in future.
