IMHO, he's always been "Left of Center (for an American)" or maybe neo-Liberal. I would never consider him a Progressive. Now, as we're seeing more progressive lawmakers and some progressive policies being spotlit, the Overton Window is expanding, and he's staying right where he's always been.

I don't think I've ever had to log into the Google Home app, it just uses the accounts on my phone. Or is this some sort of situation where, "I'm too Android to understand this problem?"

I don't think anyone should be locked away in Gitmo. It doesn't matter how bad a person is, they're still a person and shouldn't be exposed to torture, abuse, etc.

The largely landlord-represented government again looks for its own interests first.

The Bank of Canada is independent of parliament (presumably what you mean by "government").

Well, that's because supporting Ukraine isn't political, but supporting Gaza is, and we can't have any politics in the workplace! (/s + people use "political" when they actually mean "divisive")

I'm a pretty junior contributor (I spent a couple years completing quests on StreetComplete and only have been adding new buildings, etc for a few weeks). I don't know a ton about how the organization is run, so I can only talk from my experiences. I've been able to upload changes which will be live before they will be reviewed. I know there are reviewers who go through areas regularly, but they definitely don't cover everywhere. I'm not sure if OSM has the ability to lockdown areas with frequent vandalism.

Like a lot of complex problems, the housing issue has multiple contributing factors. The other issues you brought up definitely are valid, but that doesn't invalidate the issues with parking and density. Most parking lots are way, way oversized.

Literally no one who does something like this thinks they're above the law when they're just doing to force our elected officials to comply with the law.

This didn't force any elected officials to comply with the law. As much as I dislike Trump and hope he goes to jail for his actual crimes, not releasing his taxes is not against the law.

I agree that "autonomous" taxis need to be compared to professional drivers, and I'd even take it further by combining your two points. If they want to say "autonomous" vehicles are currently safer than professional drivers, they need a way to compare how many humans are involved too. I'm sure we could make conventional taxis safer too if they not only had a driver but a command centre where drivers are being observed and altered to dangerous situations!

Which is even funnier because Drumpf also wears lifts!

While this article implies they want to restrict freedom of speech of the businesses, the actual threat is against the town who is distributing the signs. I still think it's abuse of the state's oversight powers, but it's not the 1A violation the article makes it sound like.
