Just a minor nitpick: the acronym is SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States), like POTUS.

This is really interesting in contrast to where I live in Ontario, Canada. A municipality wanted an injunction to make it crystal clear they could evict a homeless encampment on municipal property. Instead, they got a judgement that doing so would violate those people's Charter rights. This ruling means basically every municipality in the province now legally has to do something about the homelessness crisis.

I assume they were drawing the view with hatches up. If the scenario calls for hatches to be closed, there are greater concerns for a pedestrian than getting run over!

A nurse would be just as effective for most ailments.

Nurse Practitioner? Sure.

Registered Nurse? No, they don't have the training for it. Some have picked up skills through practical experience, but that's an exception to the rule.

EDIT just want to clarify nurses don't have the training in diagnosis, similar to how doctors don't have much training in care.

This stood out to me:

Changes to YouTube and Facebook video monetization rules favouring short videos akin to TikTok reels also led to a reduction in revenue from the group’s mostly longer-form content, the filing said.

Stand up is really, really good for short-form video. All the comedians I follow post individual jokes that link to their full sets. I'm surprised Just for Laughs couldn't replicate this.

no mystery blobs.

Maybe they're not "mystery blobs," but I think you still need binary blobs with MediaTek chips. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though!

I really like this graph because it helps visualizes scale. Sometimes, people knock e-bikes by saying they are less efficient than acoustic bikes. While that may be true, it's another example of, "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." As shown here, e-bikes are literally the 90% solution. I really don't think it's worth sweating the potential energy efficiency differences between e-bikes and acoustic bikes. What's really important is reducing car usage.

Also, what they're saying is completely untrue. In most countries you need to report your foreign income and may have to pay taxes on it. I'm a Canadian and we need to report foreign income. We have tax treaties, so taxpayers (generally) aren't double taxed. However, a lot of cross boarder Canadian workers pay less tax in the US than they would at home, so they are required to pay the difference to the CRA.

Yup, it's tax avoidance, not tax evasion. It's morally wrong especially because he has the power to influence the system, but it's not legally wrong.

Looking through that list, I kept saying to myself, "I didn't know Google Assistant could do that!" and in a few cases, "I tried to do that and it didn't work, so I assumed Google Assistant couldn't do that."
