What hello Kitty was trying to say is that most people are not objecting GMO but the way it's used under capitalism, either to sell more pesticides (e.g. glyphosate), to make farmers dependent on seeds via patents, or both. Just because there's highly idealistic research doesn't mean it's compatible with our current system.

Still the difference is that Nazis were actively closing in on the prisoners of the Warsaw Ghetto, their extermination being the end goal that was already being achieved by starvation and random executions.

Gaza was several bustling cities, scarcity was definitely a thing but not to the point of starvation or malnutrition. The comparison is kind of disingenuous.

Nah, European Cities have layers. There's the old city in the center (not just a gate but the entire old city that was enclosed by the medieval fortifications) which is surrounded by 19th century neoclassic quarters with mixed use. Instead of factories there's brownfields where factories used to be. Nail houses don't exist at all. There may be some high rise quarters but not as many, and instead of having that clear break between city and surrounding farms there's scores of suburban single family home developments.
