Using Linux with obscure hardware (CNC mills, chromatographs, etc) is a bit like punching yourself in the nuts, but still free.

Should be quite easy to remove any WiFi/cellular/satellite antennas from the car's computer. (Might be trace/chip antennas, so make sure to get those). If you're extra paranoid, get the GPS antenna too, so it can't simply record data indefinitely.

Might take a few hours to go through the car to make sure you get everything, but you won't be limited to super old cars.

Yeah, I'm much more worried about someone in my country spying on me then China, like what are they gonna do from the other side of the world?

It pings out to google constantly regardless of where you are. You should be able remove it with adb, or use an app like NetGuard to block it from acessing the internet.

Copyrights don't just benefit the rich, in fact they severely limit what big companies can do with what you create. On the other hand, the current copyright term in most places (70 years after the author's death) is just ridiculous, and simply guarantees that you will not live to see most content you saw as a kid move into the public domain, while the current owners continue to make money that the original author will never see.

Options are good, now no single country can ruin things.

Dont blame google, it is Mucrisoft's fault for refusing to support them under default windows. The format itself is in many ways superior to both PNG and JPEG.
