The answer is a resounding maybe. If you activated with a Microsoft account or if there's a TPM chip, the chances of it still working increases. There are different kinds of licenses, but if it fails, there's a better than not chance calling MS support and just telling them you had a hardware failure on your laptop and you need to reinstall, they'll get you going. Not a guarantee though. And I'll caveat and say this information is a couple years old (I don't work in tech support anymore).

I've seen AGI thrown around. Artificial General Intelligence.

Ok, and we still create laws to combat it. I don't think "evil always existed, so let's not have the FDA because it's not that we're protecting citizens from bad food, but simply from evil."

This is such a weird "I'm 14 and this is deep" take.

He just did better than Trump. The amount of support Trump still has is ridiculous meaning it's more fervent than before. The reason Trump won originally could be why he wins again (if he makes it through primaries and doesn't get convicted). I don't think Biden can rest on his laurels for the upcoming election. Folks aren't happy and enough of them are either disinterested entirely and won't vote or mistakenly believe Republicans will fix it.

yes the whole nation is in jeopardy because some warmongers arent getting their promotions... if this is really the case, then the military is being mismanaged way worse than anyone knows.

When you refuse to fill management positions, yes, it will become even more mismanaged. Moreover, this is still messing with people's pay and families as well. You can't really cut management positions in the military and expect it to function. Our readiness will absolutely be hindered.

You can hate the army, but they're also one of the biggest suppliers of aid to other countries. Their logistics and planning help save more lives than you ever will, plus they save more lives than they actually ever take in combat.

You're no better than a Republican who just wants to shut down and obstruct without offering any actual assistance or plans to move forward. You're a child not getting their way. Are you related to the Senator as you throw a similar hissy fit?

This wouldn't matter. Defederating means you don't pull their data, not the other way around.

The article is just describing how ActivityPub works. What would be more important is how they claim to use that data. But that they collect that data is inherent to how the protocol works. They'd have to mention they collect it legally.

Eh, maybe. While I am familiar with those things, I don't think I'd ever assume everyone my age and on the Internet would as well. Different strokes for different folks. Moreover, this didn't even take into account age at all. So not only did it appear to strike out with many of the same age, it'll likely strike out with most users who simply weren't on the Internet for that relatively small period of time.

Glad it's circled, otherwise I don't know how I would have found the joke. Why do folks do that? (Just an open question to all, not a direct question to OP, unless they did the circling)

Didn't say they run it. The person who runs it can be simply another employee. It's just there are no outside investors and everyone has a vote on the board. You put someone in charge you trust but everyone as a whole has a say in big picture stuff with the person at the top being day to day and being held accountable to employees and not investors.

Capitalism fundamentally changes the relationship between workers and their work. One takes the value they create and gives it to someone else. One doesn't.

Did you really just compare an iPhone to some hacked version of an android phone? No shit it'll perform better. And complaining that you can't stop yourself from installing bad applications so you need Apple to stop you is kind of a weird flex. Just be a responsible computer owner. Don't just install anything because it's there. Be aware of what you install.

And it's kind of funny how you denigrate the other phone yourself and get mad that someone else did it towards your phone. Dont try too hard defending your decisions.

Permitted disclosure must meet certain requirements. The amount of PHI provided must be the minimum amount possible to meet the required activity. Nothing here seems to meet the requirement provided. Tbh, auditing/billing isn't even listed as a permitted disclosure.

Edit: I take it back. Supported fraud programs is a permitted disclosure. However, it needs to be the minimum amount of PHI disclosed to meet that goal.

Your argument is "be reasonable" and then some subjective feeling about what you feel is personally reasonable. Your reason isn't objective. I addressed this in literally every comment in some fashion. Your feelings aren't an argument.

Edit: especially since you never addressed the technical limitations I mentioned in any way shape or fashion. That's a much bigger hurdle than your opinions about what fits in general purpose.
