Sorry, they walked back the walkback of the walkback? Does anyone know what's going on?

I think that's it, and they victimize LGBTQ+ people and immigrants because their supporters love it and it buys them time to implement their kleptocracy. Some of the Trump people are true-believer Nazis, but some of them are just greedy assholes who will throw anyone under the bus for their own gain.

Its a question of the process and the criteria. I'm a Canadian citizen. I want to know that citizenship is a status I hold securely, not something the government can revoke if I do something they don't like. There would have to be a rigorous process for it. But it would be better, I think, to deal with citizens under Canadian law and not to consider undoing their citizenship. Any power to remove it is ripe for abuse and a likely slippery slope.

Would lying flat and wriggling your way to safety like a big wet human worm help? Or always traveling with a taller, damper friend?

The disaster was that the immigration policy wasn't matched with any meaningful policy to create more housing at an affordable price. Immigration is something Canada continues to need, but on housing politicians are torn between the demands of those who can't afford housing and the demands of the corporations that build and own property, plus (to a lesser extent, because the gains aren't real) homeowners who want their property to keep increasing in value. And as usual corporate interests tend to win out.

But maybe there could be corporate pressure for Canada to do something about housing, if it helps other (non-housing) corporations attract skilled workers from the USA and elsewhere.

Also the way all the formerly "anti-Nazi" businesses just suddenly switched when it was clear where the money lay, and ended up building concentration camps and supplying the poison gas for them, all for profit. Capitalists have a sickness and nothing will stop them from pursuing more money, not even the prospect of helping murder millions of their fellow citizens.

It has been known to happen.

So redditors who deeply believe they're superior are breeding? We're in trouble.

Masculine energy is a large part of what makes our corporate and political world feel so shitty in the first place. Specifically, the energy of these swaggering blowhard men who need to impose themselves on everyone else and accumulate power and wealth in order not to drown in their own insecurity.

Yes, it wouldn't have occurred to me until I saw this sign.
