How to start a fight with an etymologist...

and in a stunning failure of corporate communication

This is my main takeaway from this situation. Seems like the casino knew it was getting a deal too good to be true and CF went straight to strong arm tactics instead of inviting the other side to the table to discuss the issue and find a way forward that's good for both parties.

Fucking corpo talk. No they didn't shutter the studios, they just fired everyone who makes up the studio.

This is how I'm leaning too. If done appropriately this should be no different than "this is a reenactment of events" seen in 90s and 00s true crime shows.

The big challenge is getting the content creators to respect that template and not bury the disclosure in the credits.

Everyone has superhero fatigue, seems like a great time to develop another superhero show!

One thing to remember is the supreme Court blocked him from cancelling all student debt.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/30/politics/supreme-court-student-loan-forgiveness-biden/index.html

So the timeline (from my memory as I recall it):

  • forgiveness program introduced several administrations ago for public service workers
  • Trump administration found to essentially not forgiving any loans over technicalities
  • Biden comes into office with promise to correct
  • Biden tries to correct in 2022
  • GOP sues
  • Supreme court blocks Biden's efforts in 2023, stating their method was overstepping their powers
  • Biden administration uses existing executive powers to move forward with efforts

If you're using it as a dumb TV, unless it shipped some critical firmware issue that prevents core functions from working (like HDMI input, switching inputs, etc) there shouldn't ever be a reason to update it out of the box.

I've used smart TV's for 10+ years now and figured this out of the awful experience from the first one. Never had any issues with the ones I've never connected to the Internet.

That's an intriguing story. I don't think that makes him a gangster. More like something a common thief would do. That sounds like right out of a playbook of common street urchins in Paris or eastern Asia.

Glad the state department told Kraft to shove it. Could you imagine an international standoff over a fucking billionaire's ring.

Thanks for sharing that, I hadn't heard this story before. I wonder if there are other examples of people putting pony boy in his place.

Isn't that all of Netflix's content?

To take it a step further, I believe he's also aligned with various other 'actors' who wanted to see Twitter turn to dog shit due to it being a widespread tool of the people and its usefulness in coordinating large scale protests.

I think he saw an opportunity to both make a buck doing what you said and fulfilling some unknown obligation or deal he has to tank the reputation.

The money making fell through, but he's still left hanging to fulfill his obligation.

/End conspiracy

It's completely ok to say "I really liked the thing, but I just can't watch it because I can only see the actor behind the character". If I found out someone punched puppies in their spare time, I would find it really hard to enjoy the things they are in. I don't think it has to be any different with an actor who's political stance you are vehemently against.
