The people who make these memes aren't the same people who like the cops. There are some very confused people who think 'no step on snek' and prostrating themselves before the ones who'd be doing the stepping makes some kind of sense, but they're also the same people who think climate change isn't real and vaccines kill people. You're probably correct, this reflection definitely looks odd. But something to consider is that the mirror is likely leaning back, and depending on your angle to it it may not show you whats directly in front of it but show things further out in way that could explain the weirdness.
The only people I wanted to hear from on this video were the new CEO, to explain the changes going forward, and maybe Linus, to give an explanation for his behavior after the GN video. I had been considering a floatplane sub and was looking forward to the noctua screwdriver, but I won't be making either purchase now.

My hearing is pretty severely damaged in my left ear, and for several months I thought everything was to my right. but my ability to locate sounds has come back. My hearings not any better, my brain just figured out that my left ears fucked and compensated.
