Shit, I don't even think it has to be subtle. People emigrate all the time for a variety of reasons. And most of them are much less compelling than "I'm surrounded by people who might decide to murder my entire family any day."

They have no responsibility to stick it out and take the risk just because other people, including myself, don't want to see the settlers win.

It seems like it was just yesterday some would bring up some millennial kids bullshit and someone else would respond; "you know they're all adults now, right?"

Now it's starting to happen with zoomers?

I don't know where I was going with this. I'm going to go take my Geritol now.

Exactly. I get the frustrations of the son and grandson of factory workers that finds it hard to imagine anything more than working at Walmart wanting to tear it all down. What I don't understand is my neighbor in Dana Point.

I assume that's a gif because I remember that line and it's a perfectly hilarious response, but I just see a pic.

Gifs don't seem to work for me. Is that a problem with Jerboa?

Yeah, insta-fail is just lazy design. Becoming undetected again is fun.

I don't know what "very little" means to you, but I have friends that are married with children, unlikely to face violence motivated by bigotry (location dependant, YMMV), and have legal protections from discrimination in housing and employment.

When I was a kid they could get fired or evicted with no recource, and if they had the temerity to poke their head out of the closet someone could kick their ass with impunity unless they were seriously injured or killed, and sometimes even then.

But sure, "very little," let's go with that.

Even if Tesla somehow managed to de-Elon themselves and address the quality issues, those cars look so dated compared to other EVs that are available and what's coming soon.

They gave the model 3 a facelift but they really need a major bodystyle update across the whole line. Nothing in the entire line looks much different than the 2009 prototype model S.

They went from being futuristic to boring as fuck.

Edit: Except for the truck, of course. But that's just something else entirely and I don't feel like writing an essay.

It's a lot easier to tolerate the copaganda when they're almost exclusively going after rapists.

The thing I found funny about SVU is someone obviously said "shit, Olivia has been at this for decades, she should be a captain by now," so they made her one but she's still taking calls, the first on the scene, and participating in the investigation.

It'd be a damn shame if everyone started putting pixelfed at the end of every message to both deny threads content and create a Streisand effect.

If you want to know how bad we're being fucked, search for the PPI, the producer price index. CPI, the one we always hear about, is the measure of inflation to us, the consumer. The PPI is the measure of inflation to producers, what they pay for goods and services to produce the goods and services we buy.

The PPI has been back to "normal" for a while now. Pretty much as soon as the post COVID logistics issues were mostly ironed out. The difference between PPI and CPI changes is almost all profit.

We don't get daily articles on the PPI though, I wonder why.

Tell people about PPI whenever you can, online or off, the more people know, the better. It's easy enough to say inflation is just down to greed but being able to back it up by comparing two simple charts will help people really understand.

PPI

CPI

I apologize in advance of this is too basic a question for this community.

I just learned about lexisnexis and went to their website to request my report, opt out of everything I could, and request my information be deleted.

Are there any other companies like this I should be aware of so I can make the same requests there?

If it matters, I'm in California and it's my understanding that I have a few more rights concerning this sort of thing than some others do.

Yeah, whenever you have dead space on one side you hug that side to give more space to both you and the person on the other side.

Last spot on the aisle, curb, pillar between spots, cart return, whatever.

Being a cybertruck driver he's almost certainly a douche, but this isn't why he's a douche.

All true, but enforcement, and the law itself, are unnecessary. I've never known a sailor that would even consider ignoring a distress call.

Asshole passenger maybe, but not the crew. So on second thought, the law gives the crew something to say to an asshole passenger who wants to ignore a call.
