Lol Meta has a reputation for stealing data, denying genocide, platforming bigots, and interfering in elections. The idea that the name Facebook wasn't so toxic that one of the largest tech companies did a massive rebranding in the wake of major scandal (see threatening democracy) is a fantasy.
Also if you're a poster, the built in cross-posting feature is one of the most important when it comes to community building. It will show links to other communities and their discussion for the same post. I have also heard but have not been able to confirm that this will combine them in the main feed. If that is the case I am not sure how it chooses which post to show.
Honestly this is why I could never get into him. I feel like he also tends towards a lot of anti consumer takes for a product reviewer.

Some of this may also have to do with the user creation exploit that popped up a while back.
