This was a reasonable thing to point out, but the title you used ends up blunting your point completely.

There's a guy who works as a product owner at my employer. He has a PharmD. He got fed up with the metrics for how many prescriptions he had to fill. Now he does software.

It's crazy to think that someone has a terminal degree in a really technical field and he nope'd out because of how bad it got.

My personal horror story is that I took the time to make sure I went to an in-network hospital before I went to the ER for what ended up being an emergency appendectomy. The surgeon was in-network...for scheduled appendectomies. Emergencies were contracted out to a different organization who he was working for at the time, and that organization was not in network. So I got balance billed for it. I took the payment my insurance company gave me and sent it to him and said "look, I did all this research ahead of time and at no point did anyone ever tell me this would be out of network, so this is all you're getting out of me." They left it at that.

In most developed countries, health care is rationed by need. In the US we ration by ability to pay. I would gladly pay more for worse service so long as care was rationed by need.

The graphs if you're talking about the economy as a whole.

On the internet, everyone is American.

Given that a good deal of the population thinks that if you disobey a cop, you deserve to be shot, I don't think they're all that concerned about people getting raped in prison. I'm sure there's a good number of people who think there should be more rape.

Of course, this is really sad, but that's the lay of the land.

They play Killing in the Name at Columbus Blue Jackets games all the time and it cracks me up. I wonder what they think "Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses" means.

Yes. A lot of the people who drive trucks do so because "I'm a big boy! Listen to me make lots of noise in my big lifted truck! Vroom Vroom!!"

If people are actually using it for a small business or whatever, sure, I'll live, but most of the people who buy them are just buying them because they want people to know their dicks are small.
