I don't love the honor translation partially because it's been used in racist caricature, but also because it's often inaccurate. Like you might say ohana because you're in an extremely formal interaction, or because you want to sound poetic or whatever, but you're not actually saying "honorable flowers" usually. You can mean that though. I feel like it's too context-sensitive and culturally nuanced for simple translation.
It is demonstrably true that life on a planet alters the conditions of the planet (which then alters the life, etc). Most glaring is the abundance of oxygen in our atmosphere. We don't look for oxygen on other planets because oxygen is necessary for life; we look for oxygen because it's unlikely to exist in high densities without life to produce it.
The sci-fi novel Death's End by Cixin Liu (third in a series) further suggests that life alters the universe rather than just local systems, which was a fun idea. He's a rather long-winded author, but he's easy to forgive.
That said, this is the first time I'm hearing of the hypothesis by name, so I can't be sure what all it says. A quick skim lines up with reality though.
It's already a risk to literally anyone wrongly convicted, trans or cis.
Meters is extra easy if you've played Minecraft because you know you need a two-block height for head clearance, and you can estimate the sizes of other things from there.
While I don't mean to argue against boycotting, I really don't think it matters in either a practical sense or as a gesture of solidarity whether you play a game you already paid for, especially if it's in single-player. Also remember that corporations own practically everything, and even this banana is probably produced with slave labor or at least terrible conditions. If a thing is easy to give up, great, but you shouldn't make your life less pleasant meaninglessly. Direct your effort and will towards effective actions rather than thoughts and prayers.
No one asked him to change the movie or to anticipate audience reaction beforehand. I just think he's a moron for endorsing rude (and occasionally dangerous) behavior. (Possibly also for making a terrible film; haven't seen it.)
There's nothing special required to open a restaurant in Sweden, which I think most would agree is a developed country. You need a business license and a food license (unsure how to translate), neither of which requires an education or training, and you need a proper location for preparing and serving food. Employees can be literally anyone off the street. You have to pass health inspections, but the inspectors don't care much about details if nothing dangerous is going on.
I personally appreciate your example of chef and had to delete the rest of what I had to say because it got way too emotional. It's a frustrating situation when you're making people happy by providing a service and still not being rewarded because capitalism.
And also I think she's quite cute, so??
I think forcibly keeping someone confined is one of the cruelest things you can do, to the point that fear of it makes me hesitant to seek help myself. He deserves his freedom even if he uses it to die.
The fuck do you mean "but the truth was disgusting" Like salmonella soup isn't?
I don't think syntax means what you think it means.
Does either of those cause/prevent actual starvation feelings, like headaches and fatigue? Do they influence your non-exercise activity thermogenesis? (ie, feeling like you need to sit while you wait for the bus instead of standing or pacing) Or is it just a vague munchiness?
