Only Democrats can vote in the US Democrat primary,

This is not true. There are multiple states that allow voting in the primary of a party to which you are not registered. You just can't vote in both primaries.

This is great and all, but I hate the fact that they are even being legitimized to the point of getting on a platform such as 60 minutes.

My kids (18/16) did not get me a present for Christmas. They got gifts for each other, my wife (their step-mom) and their step-sister (with my assistance). Yet still failed to think of getting their father a gift. They both have driver's licenses, cars, and their own money. I'd have been happy with a $2 bag of sour patch kids. Shit, I'd have taken the fucking coal if they just would have remembered.

Slow sab tips? (lemmy.world)

I recently moved from a non docker ubuntu 18.04 setup to a full docker 22.04 setup. I used to get a pretty consistent 95-105 MB/s in sab. I can't seem to get more than 70 MB/s in my new setup. Both my usenet providers are setup the same and using 50 connections. I'd love to blame docker, but thought i see if anyone here has seen this as well. Any suggestions on what to look at?

Chromebooks, if they fit into the use case, are fantastic. All day battery life, boot instantly, seamless migrations to a new device. I got one of these for my parents, grandparents, etc, and I'll never look back.

Shame. It's a wonderful story. I think you could take the 5 minutes to read it.
