It's still really bad, try to read the WSJ article they put out today about Burkina Faso, there's just no vision of what's going on at all. Vague bullshit with some jingoistic bullshit thrown in.

I'm not Muslim either, but I am sincere when I return your salaam :)

Was raised secular protestant, I didn't even get interested in the history of religion until the past couple years led me to delve into monetary history. Now I feel like I've been missing out on all the driving forces of ancient history and getting treated to glorified trivia

You're already welcome to repost anything of mine and I'm interested to learn about that community as well, so thanks for mentioning it

In that scenario the aid would be very important ya. I meant before getting to anything that catastrophic at all. That's a really interesting train of thought but I'm really leery about all this until I have a super ironclad understanding of the historical forces at work. This is mostly an effort to find good educational material

The dude seems to have literally dozens of reply guy accounts with thousands of comments and no link submissions. Starting to think there may be a smidgeon of mental illness at work here

Well, I'm not actually making a tier list of religious populations. I admit that part was disingenuous

How it feels to engage in analytical self-criticism and detach from ideals

You're all good with me, just joking around. Take care of yourself. The confusion is expected, Westerners have been taught to deal with the world through abstractions. If you want to be critical of other countries it's especially important to be detailed. People have no cultural or political understanding of Iran. Instead of looking at the rules they follow, people will write entire articles speculating about their decisions first. Because if they tried to understand, they wouldn't have their fancy journalism job... come back anytime for more homespun thug wisdom

Oh quit being such a drama queen, nobody wants to nuke you chuddy. Booooring "oh no fighting back against the USA risks nuclear conflagration" complete bullshit, no one cares

I heard about the CIA lady yeah, suppose that's why Kersplebdeb, Arghiri Emmanuel, Crimethinc, The Deprogram podcast, and Michael Hudson's Superimperialism are weighted equally here. IDK my lore is pretty limited I know about Aaron Swartz, Violentacrez, Gamergate, the banning of CTH and the Donald, putting GZD behind a login gate. It seems like if you know too much it makes you insane so this feels like a good balance between enough and too much information

Are you nuts? I'm not going to spend my day explaining the history of the NYPD to you because you missed an obvious joke. There are absolutely ICE raids taking place in NYC. Local police has to cooperate with higher level law enforfement. America has been fascist for generations since well before it killed and poisoned all the civilians in Vietnam, passed the Patriot Act, and tortured kids at black sites in Chicago during the Obama years. Get real
