Whilst that does create a more pleasant atmosphere, it also creates echo chambers and I believe that's not a good thing.

I try to only block those who are explicitly being antagonistic, rather than just those whom I disagree with.

It would be great if Lemmy had a way to tag a user, so you could tag a borderline account, then decide after several interactions if they warranted blocking.

I also block several key words, rather than accounts.

I actively search for, report then block spam.

I did originally write that in my post, but deleted it because I asked myself, "What's the alternative?"

I've been using Linux for almost 25 years and I've never once considered mouse or keyboard incompatibility, and that's including ADB, PS/2 and DB9 devices, let alone USB.

As far as I know, you can intercept any signal from any such HID device and map it to whatever action you want to achieve at whatever level you need it.

I'm happy to be wrong, but I'd be surprised.

Are you sure that the previous owner of the collar wasn't eaten by the current owner, which given the nature of the role associated with the collar, seems appropriate.

We've had a spate of mushroom related "events" in Australia. Seems to be centred around Melbourne.

Of course it's entirely possible that nothing except reporting has changed, but that would mean that "journalists" do actual research, but that doesn't pay for clicks, so who knows what reality is.

The world should be so lucky .. criminals being held to account for their crimes.

This seems like a good way to keep people off your front lawn. Wonder if you need to be specific, or if you can nominate a whole class of "human", say, anyone who is a climate denier, or loves having tea parties, or has orange skin with very small hands..

It seems to be heading that way..

Breaking your neck when your head hits the ceiling would be the highest probability.

In my experience, many passengers ignore the instructions to keep your seatbelt loosely fastened during flight.

I'm guessing that this incident is going to change a few things in relation to that lax attitude by having flight crew enforce seatbelt warnings.

Looks oversized to me, that's 3.25 cm x 3.25 cm, looks like they could take it down by 40% and still call it a 2x2 😇
