Despite being in operation for 8 months or so, based on the dates of the reviews they've gotten, they suspiciously only have 9 reviews. Suspected they have gotten lots of bad reviews.

However, I still insisted on trying the food here. I originally wanted only dumplings but the lady convinced me to try their lamb skewer, saying it's better than the ones elsewhere.

Verdict: Lamb skewer was delicious, especially the fatty parts. The flavour just burst in your mouth. The flavour seems to come from the spicy sauce they drizzled on, instead of the marinate. It is a bit on the expensive side at RM35 for 10 skewers and they are rather small.

Dumpling was so-so. It's either underseasoned or it is how it is served in Xinjiang.

But in the context of Malaysian politics, we look for red flags and avoid green flags.

Sales will start at 11am. Which category would you be buying? Heart says Fan Zone, purse says Cat 2.

This new medication is making me so, so sleepy. How am I supposed to work? 🥲

I wish I'm born with a normal brain. It is such a tiring journey to be normal.

He actually co-authored the book with the late Terry Prachette. They had plans for a sequel, but that didn't pan out as PTerry was afflicted by dementia.

Hey, thanks for this and sorry I haven't got back to you on my suggestion.

I am 50/50 about allowing NSFW pictures, for there needs to be a heavily regulated community. Like Leon say (paraphrasing), he's here for a hobby, and doesn't want this to turn into an unpaid job. So, unless the creator of the community is willing to put in the hard (heh) work, it's a no go.

I'm also worried about the means the contents are acquired, as we have seen a lot of stolen and leaked nudes posted on r/malaysiagonewild and other related MY NSFW stuff, and I once saw someone posting a teenager's nude on r/my, which was promptly removed by you @dcx, if my memory serves.

Text based NSFW contents, including questions should be OK, as long as it doesn't break any law.

Just my 2 cents.

  1. For now making a new sub/community is still free for all, I think it's about time we set some rules. a. Are NSFW and NSFL sub/community allowed? b. Should we have a quorum on new sub/community registration?

  2. A server-wide rules are required. Now the community is still small, and thus we don't have much contents yet to draw people to comment. When the numbers do come in, we inevitably will have nyets who are way too opinionated and may cross the line by being racist, hateful, and generally trolling and flaming. I believe rules will be needed to ensure discussions remain polite and fruitful without delving into a mudslinging, low effort flaming/trolling attempt, while at the same time preserving the freedom of speech. Nyets are welcome to comment (freedom of speech), but they have to be respectful (no freedom from consequences).

This is just what I had in mind, welcome discussions on this. I haven't been on reddit much, and I do hope this place grows.

This is so interesting. They've been around for ages, but scientists have only learned of them now.. The best way to document every single organism is to encourage citizen scientists. iNaturalist is a useful app/website for this purpose.

The palm was already known to local people but it had remained unnoticed by scientists, who believe the case highlights the need to collaborate more closely with Indigenous communities. “Local people in a remote village in central Kalimantan eat the fruits as a snack when doing activities in the forest,” said Randi. “It has a sweet taste, with quite thick flesh and a soft and juicy texture. We still don’t know about other uses of the plant, and there are many things that are still a mystery – for example, the process of pollination and who the pollinator is, and what causes this plant to produce flowers and fruit underground.”
