Unrelated to the previous two facts, in February 2024 Norwegian defense minister Bjørn Arild Gram and US ambassador to Norway Marc Nathanson signed an amendment to the Supplementary Defense Cooperation Agreement of 2022, tripling the number of military facilities in Norway that the US armed forces have access to.
