You have to wonder how far it needs to get before the average person no longer thinks these people 'earned' that money.
It drives me crazy that anyone can justify billionaires existing.
It doesn't matter how much they have, I think it's a coping mechanism: if they earned it, it means I can also earn it if I work hard enough.
So how do you convince someone that they're never going to be rich?
Nobody just "earns" that much money. You get it by cheating a lot of people or the government.
Also how long before people realize courts, police, etc exist to protect the wealthy and influential from the rest, not for the common good. It should be clear that the “common good” was a carrot on a stick.
Oh it's beyond ridiculous. The proles who continue to defend billionaires will use insane justifications as to why these leeches deserve their wealth.
But, I think the extreme inequality as definitely nearing its boiling point. The whole thing with Luigi and the UHC CEO made it quite clear just how fed up many, many people are. Unfortunately, with Trump and other shitheads of his ilk around the world taking over countries, I don't think any societal revolution looks promising in the near future.
Man the people who can see Luigi as a hero while voting for Trump... Ugh
