Just the dirt and water near me. Lots of fellas in there. You can check out some of my previous posts I've posted some videos.

My newest video uses the new camera.

How the heck?!? So, are those sand microbes in a solution or something? They look like they're just floating from place to place...!

I can't really tell if they are inside or on top of the sand grains. The sand is from a reservoir near me, so all the little guys are in water. Water apparently feels more viscous the smaller you are.

If you don't mind another dumb question, I looked at the backyard dirt ciliate, is that lil fella in water as well?

Yeah all of mine are water based. That one is from dirt that I got from my back yard. I added water at about a 5:1 ratio then waited a few days for the microbes to wake up. Soil is crazy active. Kinda blows my mind how much goes on in soil.

Edit: and yeah please ask away, I find this stuff so interesting. I really enjoy sharing.
