My dog gave me enough strength and courage that I just handle my n-mum like the victim of her illness that she is. Somehow the relationship is healing. Its such an odd plot twist, I thought it was all a writeoff but.. its not. She can't hurt me like that now, I just.. manage her with the patience of a parent with a difficult child.

I just pity her for not being able to change and heal.

In general though damn right, no-contact is valid and usually the healthiest solution.
