I know there was some schism and moving of instances, but beyond that I can’t deduce what happened/is happening.

The recent position of the admins was that refusing to acknowledge the existence of dragons was no longer welcome on Blahaj.

[-] rickyrigatoni@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

Serious question. Why not just block the fucker of dragons and move on? That's what I did months ago and it has not negatively affected me at all.

[-] PugJesus@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Honestly, at the time, I hadn't interacted with Drag at all for months, and Drag had been banned from 196 by then anyway, and 196 was the vast majority of my Blahaj activity. For me, it was just that I didn't feel comfortable staying in an instance that was going to hand out bans and remove comments to ensure the existence of dragons wasn't questioned. I 'got' the underlying logic of it, but didn't feel comfortable sticking around for an instance that was going to go to bat for someone who literally and verbatim repeated the old conservative "Attack Helicopter" canard.

This thread is the first time I've interacted with Drag since, I believe.

literally and verbatim repeated the old conservative "Attack Helicopter" canard.

That user literally said that you're only offended by someone making that exact mockery of transgender people because you hate trans people.

Could you imagine someone in blackface saying people calling them out is racist? That you just hate people pretending to be black because you hate black people? It's infuriating. And getting banned for saying blackface is bad? Even more infuriating.

And this dickhead spread dangerous misinformation about disorders that can literally ruin and end lives. But being against literal mockeries of marginalized groups makes you the problem.

[-] TransfemGhostface@lemmy.nz -2 points 1 week ago

Why are transphobes so vague about their grievances? WHICH disorders that ruin people’s lives??

[-] TokenEffort@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Bitch said that stupid infinity sign puzzle piece disorder caused or is part of why they identify they way they do, and why they're a furry. Parents looking for free money will latch on to anything that can get their kid diagnosed as that shit. Children just playing will be a symptom of that stupid disorder. Better not like pokemon, sonic, superheroes, larping, furries, worldbuilding/OCs, or minecraft before you turn 21.

This fucking bitch is projecting that shit, literally contributing to children being abused into being dependent for the rest of their lives if they don't kill themselves, because they enjoyed stuff.

Transgender children will be forced to live as their birth gender while locked away in a group home where the staff abuses them. Because once that puzzle piece is involved, transgender is no longer a thing, your kid only identifies as female because of that stupid disorder.

Teenagers going through silly phases and the usual emotions get abused, as they're not going through what all teens go through, but are only suffering from that stupid disorder.

Being disregarded, neglected, bullied, abused, isolated from society, and forced to live a life as someone you're not will usually lead to violence, running away, or suicide. But once that stupid puzzle piece is brought up, that shit made the kids violent, and they can't work or do anything on their own.

I know this because I went through it. Everything a human being experienced was exclusively that stupid disorder. Yeah, a kid running from an adult who was just physically hurting them is understandable, but I only ran from them because of that stupid disorder. In real school, if you fail one assignment it's not the end of the world if you're still passing the class. In those ABA schools however, if your printed handout isn't 100% perfect then you're not moving on to the next subject until it is, while several adults stare at you, ready to tackle and manhandle you if you do something threatening to their safety like look around. Oh right, you're not traumatized, you just don't like "school". And the way you avoid everyone makes you unfit for regular school where you're not forced to redo 30 minutes of work because you used the wrong "to/too".

Be a silly gender identity for fun on the internet. Don't fucking claim that stupid disorder made you that way, and cause enough drama to get more eyes on your misinformation. No one's going after random bunself puddingself people on Tumblr or Discord who aren't spreading dangerous misinformation.

And you shouldn't have explained why your opinions are against the rules. In doing so, you broke the rules, which you should have known would happen, because you knew your opinions were against the rules.

If anyone needs any more evidence that he’s a troll, they can just look to this conversion. I honestly can’t believe that there remains anyone that still buys his bullshit.

[-] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz -5 points 1 week ago

Drag doesn't get it.

If you go to an online community here and say "Clearly I'm not welcome here, because I refuse to acknowledge black people as equal to whites", that's against the rules. Obviously. This is the same situation. What the hell is going on here that perfectly normal people suddenly can't understand that? Does your ability to understand the concept of rules just... go away, when you agree with the rulebreaker's views on trans people?

[-] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Your bad faith false equivalence isn’t going to work on me dude. I know what you’re doing.

And for the record, before you start victimizing yourself…. I have absolute respect for people’s pronouns. But since you’re a troll- I mean… “dragon” and not a person, I don’t choose to respect yours. Are you trying to force me against my will to behave in a manner inconsistent with my choices?

[-] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz -2 points 1 week ago

Drag's a dragon rider, not a dragon. Maybe you could try actually reading up on the trans people you misgender before explaining their own gender to them and spreading nonsense.

[-] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

So…. You’re not a dragon, but yet, want to be called drag because you…. ride one? Even though they don’t even exist? I mean, at best it’s a nickname then, not a pronoun. You know this already. It’s been explained to you time and again. But hey, since it’s allowed:

Henceforth, you shall refer to me as 2011 Kia Riofucker.

Oh, and I know PLENTY about the trans community, thank you. Part of that includes the knowledge that “drag” is not a pronoun. It’s as I said- at best, a nickname.

[-] TransfemGhostface@lemmy.nz -1 points 1 week ago

Drag isn’t a pronoun? According to who? Name at least three scholarly sources on gender and queerness that make that claim

[-] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

According to the rules of grammar and the rules of ALL Latin based languages. . By the way… It took less than thirty seconds to look this up.

[-] TransfemGhostface@lemmy.nz 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I didn’t ask you about a grammer expert’s take on this issue, I asked you about a queer theorist’s take on this issue. Please do listen to people when you’re talking to people, if nothing else than to avoid simple blunders such as these.

[-] Rhoeri@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The rest of the world will go by what is grammatically and linguistically accurate. Alternate choices of pronouns fall into this as they are well within the narrative of how our system of communication is laid out. If someone chooses to use nouns as pronouns, that will be their choice. No one can tell them they can’t do this-

But asking everyone they speak with to defy everything they know about the language they speak just to appease them, is absurd. Which is why anyone right in their mind will default to the assumption that they’re a troll. Because it’s nonsense.

Also, something I noticed… you seemingly ONLY appear in defense of “drag” and rarely discuss anything outside of that. “Drag” opted to walk away from the district when you showed up…

If I contact the admins of your instance, will they find that you’re a sock puppet account? Because if so…. That’ll be quite a few ban evasions…
