Midwest social anarcho syndicalist here. I love the lib dunkin as well as the highly detailed and sourced responses. I dont know all the hate for the instance and not sure what ppb is supposed to mean but maybe one day I'll understand
PPB stands for "Pig Poop Balls". It's a picture of a pig with poop on its balls. It's an old joke from reddit days and was typically posted in response to reactionaries who wandered into the subreddit to cause trouble.

Tbh it's pretty intimidating posting in here since Ill never reach the peak levels of shitposting I've seen. Typically I'm a lurker and feel I dont have much to contribute either, but you're all so friendly
the trick is to just never stop posting. we were all new to this community once -- there's a lot of lore and inside jokes but people will explain it if there's any confusion. welcome to the dope ass bear
That is the magic here, you don't have to contribute in terms of utility. There is no minimum utility you have to bring, neither.
We even are somewhat chill with episodes that break site rules, as long as you chill with the 1 day ban and make your peace. I know at some point having people tell me that was also good for me.

if you feel intimidated posting in the normal threads, feel free to post in the daily general megathread! it's usually much chiller than the rest of the site (and the news megathread) so you can post about what you eat, your cat, some sincereposting about something that happened during your day, some shit about a video game you're playing or media you're watching, or even just intoxicated one-offs and silly shit, or a really bad pun. go nuts!
edit: shit, some users literally just post the word "cum", and there's @wombat@hexbear.net who just posts "it's today's date and stalin saved the world from fascism", there is a wide range of shit to say and all of it is valuable and desired
