Friendly reminder that voting to authorize a strike is not the same as striking. Nearly every union contract negotiation involves voting to authorized a strike. It simply means that if an agreement cannot be met by x date, the union has agreed to have the option of striking. It's very unlikely that a strike will actually occur.
