It's completely expected of the Average American Voter™. They will abide by anything their particular brand of news broadcasts tell them to until it personally affects them. They don't have bumper stickers or signs in their yards, they're not heavily invested one way or the other, they have never seen C-SPAN in their entire lives. Vibes based democracy for them.

You'd run into centrists that are like: "I'm not fully MAGA but I voted Trump because I don't support student debt forgiveness because I worked 8 hours a week as a door to door lawn dart salesman to pay off my student loans, these millennials need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps"

"Oh you cut Medicaid? Sorry Mr Trump, I will not be voting GOP in 2028, I usually vote for whoever the incumbent is ever since Ronald Reagan, no matter how unpopular they are. But this time, you have crossed the line!"

The current G*mer caucus is just as Average American Voter™ as the rest of them, just younger in age. These absolute dipshits will be the ones to actually decide elections, which is much more concerning than a brainwashed mob of Republican retirees in the Villages in Florida. They don't know about a genocide or any tariffs or annexing Greenland or Green New Deal or whatever. They chug along and blame whatever bad happens to them personally on the [Current President] and vote against them.
