Hurling ordure at the TREACLES, especially those closely related to LessWrong.
AI-Industrial-Complex grift is fine as long as it sufficiently relates to the AI doom from the TREACLES. (Though TechTakes may be more suitable.)
This is sneer club, not debate club. Unless it's amusing debate.
[Especially don't debate the race scientists, if any sneak in - we ban and delete them as unsuitable for the server.]

We probably live in a simulation with the purpose of producing the best anime. This is why we are living in an age with so much anime and with so many people who are interested in anime. The anime maximizing AI is simulating all kinds of scenarios from abiogenesis to a prolific anime industry. Most possible scenarios of life evolving from its first forms would not lead to the development of an anime industry, which is why it would be improbable for us to exist in a world with anime, if not for the fact that the simulated scenarios without anime in them are dropped and not simulated further.
But wait, the best(*) animes came out in the 90s, early 00s. What does that mean? Is the simulation running out of juice?

Sorry folks, but our iteration is about to be unplugged unless someone releases a proper sequel to Amagi Brilliant Park real soon. Legal anime streaming services herald the end times.
Yes, if it's not a fansub which randomly retains some Japanese words while overlaying half the picture with text to explain why it can't be translated due to finely nuanced meanings, then what are you even watching, the ASI (anime superintelligence) disapproves.
This but unironically.
I feel like I've learned a lot about world cultures from forum threads and YouTube videos unpacking and debating translation errors in anime and games, and I'm not sure if this says more about my media diet or the world at large.
