'History repeats itself' wasn't supposed to be advice; plus there's supposed to be more than just 20 years in-between.

I thought libs were making the claim that we all learned from the Iraq war? Heck, Iraq and Iran are nearly the same word but with one letter difference!

I think that, for as long as there's enough people who believe that other countries "hate us for our freedom" then we're doomed to keep repeating this history.

And then twenty years later we'll hear about how they weren't mistaken because all the experts told them this was correct; experts they won't stop listening to even though their mistake led to the violent murder of over a million people.

I wish we could tie the fate of every pro-war person with the fate of the country we're going to war with; if they turn out to be mistaken, then they share the fate of the people we invaded. The moment they have to test the sincerity of their beliefs, they'll realize the value of peace.
