Honestly I was already presuming since the election that I wasn't going to spend time in Mni Sota Makoce this year, but like... Someone around my age and appearance, from the same country as me, getting terrorized, harassed and humiliated by government thugs for five hours and then deported, all over a single innocuous meme? The chances of me going this year went from like 5% to 0%, and the rest of my family feels basically the same way.
The number of Norwegians visiting Seppoland has gone down the toilet since Trump got re-elected. Every day it really feels more and more like we're seeing the rise of an actual Seppo Sakoku.
Unfortunately if we're honestly going to be prepared for the 2026 world cup we're going to have open up a lot more prisons
My prediction is that Trump will threaten FIFA with a last-minute demand that either all games are held in the USA, or none of them can be.
