You just know getting that to happen was the absolute peak crowning achievement of some bureaucrat's career.
Naw the army was dumping all kinds of stuff after WWII. They had built up so much material that this would be a unknown rubber stamp action without that film.
Sorta like the artifical coral reefs the US made out of WWII tanks
We didn't stop there. On the civilian side we decided to get rid of old tires doing the same thing.
