anytime mass violence happens like this the right has a checklist of what to blame
is he in immigrant?
was he born here?
what color is his skin?
is he muslim?
is he a registered democrat?
is he lgbtq?
when all those fail and its just some white guy then they can conclude that they asked all the right questions so that must mean the attack is a psyop where white gun owners are actually the ultimate victim
Then the NYT runs a sympathetic profile about the isolated loner who just so happens to be exactly the same as the last 10 isolated loners

I think Michigan is the nexus for refugees here isn't it? So they are fishing for a chance to do some nativism I think
I was last there in ~2017, but Traverse City is one of the whitest places I've ever visited.
It manages to be nice in spite of this... Until you get a mile outside of the city area, you'll see stars and bars Q flags on every other collapsing double wide with "trespassers will be shot" signs at the end of their driveway. The city has a lot of progressive libs in it, and it's where Michael Moore is from, def worse towns in the state.
