iirc he played some role in the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989, and I think I've heard his name in one or two other intelligence contexts? I also just saw him mentioned in this thread, where he may have somewhat influenced Deng's economic reforms? I want to read more about this guy.

Not that interesting imo. He was a forex trader who took out some huge positions and caused problems for some sovereign banks
