Just what are you on about? lemmy.mls rule 1 is "No bigotry - including racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia" if someone gets removed or banned for that they probably deserved it
Well when people criticize China for being a totalitarian nightmare/cyberpunk dystopia, rule 1 is usually cited as a ban reason. Because for some reason, criticizing a state is supposed to be xenophobia.

When I watch the DPRK military parade why do most people, including soldiers look gaunt and anorexic then? Many of them look like years of malnutrition.
If I could make an observation, hexbear was largely defederated not based on politics but because people did not like them as human beings. They might have found more sympathetic ears if they had been more tolerable.
First, making fun of authoritarian bootlickers (or criticism of authoritarian regimes) is not [x]phobia.
