They didn't read the fine print from 1945

That's because the rest of us just blame it on CIA weather balloons

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 7 points 2 years ago

Funny, I'm an American and I also blame it on the military industrial complex.

Specifically, fucking planes and now drones.

[-] whelks_chance@feddit.uk 1 points 2 years ago

Are they as good or better than regular planes?

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 4 points 2 years ago

They're extremely sexy. You can't say they're not.

[-] wewbull@feddit.uk 3 points 2 years ago

Call me vanilla, but I've never wanted to have sex with a plane or a drone.

Now, if you want to talk about missiles... I don't know what it is, but awww yeah!

I have never thought about the alien sighting thing. Are they really all or mostly in the US?

One could certainly note that America also spends by far the most on things like stealth bombers and fighters, or that the most common types of sightings oh-so-coincidentally end up matching the profiles of those stealth planes once they become common knowledge.

I don't remember where I read it (this was years ago) but The US had purposely experimented during the cold war with making people think they've seen ufo's to gauge their reactions and to feed the frenzy to make russia think they have more tech than they actually do.

[-] Asafum@feddit.nl 5 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I've read they do this with our own military too so they can gauge the reaction of military personnel elsewhere in the world without exposing them to our secret technology. I'm like 99% sure that's what all the recent UFO video stuff was that had been circling the Internet.
